Mechelle has a smooth contemporary jazz voice. She was originally classically trained but later decided that jazz was her true passion and switched to studying jazz in both Melbourne and Brisbane. Mechelle currently resides in her hometown Brisbane. She specialises in interpreting and singing jazz standards as well as more contemporary groove-based songs both popular and rare.
